St Petersburg Storm Damage to a Condo

The first photo depicts the St. Petersburg condo before the tropical storm struck and delivered a deluge of water onto the engineered laminated floors. When the SERVPRO water damage restoration storm team arrived at the customers' home, there was over an inch of water covering the entire floor. This flooring material absorbed water like a sponge and had to be picked up and discarded. There was no other option. Our technicians pumped out the standing water to mitigate losses to the furnishings and appliances. Several days later our air movers, dehumidifiers, and other equipment were winding down the final drying out process. Care must be taken to remove all the moisture from a concrete pad to allow for a safer environment and a new floor.
